Terms of Service

The short version

Exhibit Tea is operated by Mulvey Labs LLC (“we,” “us,” or “Mulvey Labs”), a Missouri limited liability company. By creating an account or using Exhibit Tea, you agree to these terms. Use it respectfully, don’t use it to harass or endanger anyone, remember that AI-generated summaries can be wrong, and understand that we can’t be held liable for what members of your circle post. If any of that doesn’t work for you, please don’t use Exhibit Tea.

Who can use Exhibit Tea

You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. By using Exhibit Tea, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that everything you tell us about yourself (like your email address) is accurate. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account.

What Exhibit Tea is

Exhibit Tea is a private space for small, invite-only circles to follow true-crime cases together — collecting sources, discussing them, and using AI features (case summaries, claim extraction, and Ask Exhibit Tea) built on Anthropic’s Claude models to help organize that material. It is a tool for discussion and organization, not an investigative service, a news outlet, or a substitute for law enforcement, journalism, or legal advice.

Content you and your circle post

You keep ownership of what you post — sources, notes, comments, and questions. By posting it, you give us the license we need to store it, process it (including sending it to Anthropic’s API to generate summaries and answers), and display it to the other members of your circle, for as long as your content stays on Exhibit Tea.

You’re solely responsible for what you post. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share, anything defamatory, anything intended to harass, threaten, or endanger a real person, or anything that violates someone else’s privacy beyond what’s already publicly reported. True-crime cases involve real people — victims, families, suspects, and the wrongly accused — and circles discussing theories should stay grounded in what the material actually supports, not treat speculation as fact.

AI-generated content

Case summaries, extracted claims, and Ask Exhibit Tea answers are generated by AI based on what your circle has added (and, when a case’s research setting is on, outside web sources). We’ve built this to cite back to real material rather than invent claims from nothing, but AI-generated content can still be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Don’t treat it as verified fact, and don’t rely on it for legal, safety, or investigative decisions.

Reporting and moderation

If you see content in your circle that violates these terms, you can report it from within the app. We review reports and may remove content, restrict AI processing of it, or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion.

Account termination

You can delete your account at any time from Account → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, misuse the service, or put other members at risk. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your content when your account is deleted.

No warranty

Exhibit Tea is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mulvey Labs LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Exhibit Tea, or for content posted by other members of your circle. Our total liability for any claim relating to Exhibit Tea is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to these terms or Exhibit Tea will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Exhibit Tea changes. If we make a material change, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Exhibit Tea after a change means you accept the updated terms.
